About Slieve League
Slieve League rises above the Atlantic west of Teelin and Carrick in south-west Donegal. On its south side the mountain ends in sea cliffs that fall from near the summit to the water. It is a Marilyn and an Arderin, with 475 m of prominence.
Most visitors drive to the Bunglass viewpoint, then follow the cliff-top path west and up the ridge. Near the top the path crosses One Man's Pass, a narrow crest with steep drops on both sides. In high wind or wet weather it is no place to linger. The Pilgrim Path from the Teelin side offers a gentler line up the landward slope.
You can combine the two: up the Pilgrim Path and back along the cliffs to Bunglass, if you arrange transport between the starts.
