About Arenig Fach
Arenig Fach rises north of the road between Bala and Trawsfynydd, opposite Arenig Fawr, which stands 4.7 km south and is the nearest higher hill. It is a broad, heathery hill, with Llyn Arenig Fach tucked in a cwm on its eastern side below steep crags.
Most walkers start from the road near the old Arenig station and climb north over rough heather and grass to the summit. The ground is pathless in places and boggy, so allow time.
It is a Hewitt, a Nuttall and a Marilyn, with 298 m of prominence. The top looks south across the valley to Arenig Fawr and west to the Migneint.
