About Ben Klibreck - Meall nan Con
Meall nan Con is the highest point of Ben Klibreck, a long ridge rising from the moors of central Sutherland. It is a Munro and a Marilyn, standing above Loch Naver and the village of Altnaharra. The hill stands far from other high ground, so it gives wide views across the Flow Country and to the north coast hills.
The usual approach leaves the road between Lairg and Altnaharra near Vagastie. You cross boggy moorland and a burn, then climb to a small loch below the ridge. A steep slope then leads onto the ridge, and you follow it to the summit.
