The Galloway Hills hold the highest ground in southern Scotland. The Merrick (843m) heads the Range of the Awful Hand, with the Rhinns of Kells to the east and the rough granite of the Dungeon Hills between. It is wild, boggy country inside Galloway Forest Park, which is also a Dark Sky Park. Each hill below has its own summit forecast.
