About Great Sca Fell
Great Sca Fell sits in the heart of the Uldale Fells, in the quiet back o' Skiddaw country. Knott, the highest of this group, is 1.0 km south-east, Meal Fell 0.8 km west and Brae Fell 1.3 km north.
The fell is grass and moss throughout, with a cairn on a broad top. Walkers reach it on a round of the Uldale Fells, linking Brae Fell, Meal Fell and Knott. The paths are faint, and the rounded tops look much alike, so a map and compass matter in mist.
The summit looks north over the Solway plain and south to the back of Skiddaw and Blencathra. Few walkers come this way, and you may meet more sheep than people on a weekday.
Great Sca Fell is 651 m (2,136 ft) high with 13 m of prominence. It is in Cumbria, England. It is the 208th highest of the 273 summits Peakify lists in Cumbria. The nearest summits are Little Sca Fell (0.4 km), Frozen Fell (0.8 km) and Knott (1.0 km).
